GLASSPRO PRODUCTS: GPOPT SQL FOR GLASS CUTTING OPTIMISATION AND PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT
Waste no time in choosing GPOpt to improve your glass cutting yields and smooth the flow of work through your production system.
GPOpt is a powerful glass cutting optimisation system for GlassPro SQL, but it can also be run stand-alone or using output generated by many window fabrication programs including Window Maker and Window Designer. Our glass optimiser doesn’t just optimise glass cutting but also optimises the layout of glass on toughening furnace beds to reduce energy costs and simplify production.
The glass optimiser can be used for hand cutting, or it produces an output for most glass cutting tables. The pictorial representation of the cutting diagram can include detailed cutting and breakout instructions which can be displayed over the cutting or breakout bench. Separate spacer bar cutting lists are produced for sealed unit manufacturers together with output for spacer cutting or bending machines.
Use our glass optimiser to optimise individual batches of orders to ensure that all the glass in a batch is kept together for processing, or break down bigger batches into easier to manage sub-batches. Add replacements for breakages, take the pieces from a part-optimised sheet and move them to the next production run, use the offcuts from the previous run as the first sheet of the next run, infill a part-optimised sheet with future orders – the options are limitless with GPOpt. You can also create production runs by material type, for example pulling all the glass of a particular type required over several days into a run to improve yields.
GPOpt isn’t just a glass optimising package, it provides a complete production system for tougheners and sealed unit manufacturers, incorporating a number of racking solutions to aid the loading of trolleys for the transport and processing of glass within the factory to assist with sequencing through your toughening furnace, the pairing and assembly of units and to ensure that the finished units are stacked in the right order for delivery to each customer. The glass optimiser can plan the stacking of glass as it comes off your cutting table onto ‘A’ frames or ‘slot/harp’ racks. Up to three number sequences can be allocated to each production run – the toughened bed loading sequence, the unit assembly sequence and the delivery routing (delivery stillage loading) sequence. These are printed on the relevant cutting instructions, spacer cutting lists and glass labels; and are displayed on breakout and spacer cutting and bending machine displays. Each number sequence can use different sort criteria to ensure you get the glass going through you factory in the sequence you need.
Our glass cutting program is a potent tool that also integrates into GlassPro’s production tracking system. Learn more about the functionality of GPOpt from the brochure.
